31 Weeks

How Far Along: 31 Weeks
Weight Gain: 15lbs
Maternity Clothes: Of course
Stretch Marks: Not yet
Belly Button still holding. I am beginning to believe that what they say is true " when the bun is ready the button will pop. B/c I I just don't see how it as held at even for so long. Not that I am complaining not looking forward to putting and ripping off band aids every day.
Sleep: Not too much this week but it has been a very busy week with Christmas!!!
Baby Movement: I believe I could sit and watch her move for hours.
Food Cravings: Nothing specific really I hope that she has had a growth spurt this week b/c I have been extremely hungry!! And this week wasn't a good week to be hungry all the time with all the Christmas goodies that were available. For cry from the fruit and granola that I usually eat during my snacking times :)
Food Aversions: I don't know if you would call it an aversion or not but I have seen and ate enough dressing to last me Forever!! And the dressing thing isn't a pregnancy thing. I know it is unAmerican and especially un Alabamian but Not a big fan of dressing. Its not that I don't like it its just not something that is on my top 100 favorite food list :) And having soo much over the course of Thanksgiving and Christmas well let's just say its just something I smile and eat b/c everyone else loves it so much.
Looking Forward To: Painting the Nursery this next week Zach is off on Friday for New Years Eve and his mean ole wife is putting him to work. Also looking forward to picking out the Fabric there is just to many decisions to be made
Milestones: MaKenna is now 3 plus pounds as you know at the ultrasound  they said she was 3lbs 6ozs and now she will start to gain a half a pound every week. Which calculates up to around 8.5 to 9 lbs at birth we shall see!! Which also makes me wonder how much more is Mommy gonna gain. She is about 18in long. Her brain connections are developing fast these days and she is already putting them to could us processing information,  tracking light and perceiving signals from all five senses. She is supposedly putting in loner stretches of sleep time but I haven't noticed any of the defined patterns of sleep and awake. or maybe to is sleeping when while she is poking something out just to the right of my belly button still not sure if it  is a foot, leg or her rear end.

We get new Christmas Pj's every year. When we were little Bethany and I hated them b/c they were soo "itchy" but we had to wear them b/c they looked cute on Christmas morning. I am sure I will make MaKenna do the same.

30 Weeks

How Far Along: 30 Weeks

Sleep: This week has been pretty good
Baby Movement: So Amazing!!!
Food Cravings: Nothing really although we did have Olive Garden Last night and it was Fabulous!! Oh yea and I have been loving me some brownies this week
Looking Forward To: Christmas!!! What else! Christmas is my absolute favorite time of the year!
Memories from the past week: Well of course the 4-D ultrasound, We finally registered for baby stuff this week and ordered furniture (well a crib anyway the dresser was currently out of stock but hopefully soon we will have it
Milestones: She is now approximately 17ins long and according to the ultrasound on Friday way 3lbs and 6ozs and is getting bigger and bigger by the day. Her brain is also getting bigger preparing for life outside the womb. Her brain is starting to get the characteristic groves and indentations which allow for future expansion as she grows and learns new things. The brain is starting to take on new task which were previously taken care of by other parts, Like temperature regulation. As the brain gains control of temperature regulation she will start to shed the lanugo that has been helping to maintain temperature.

Oh and I forgot to mention the Sonographer said that she has hair on her head, to which I said, Well she should!! Due to amount of Heart Burn I have had throughout the WHOLE pregnancy. Which means she won't be bald until she is 2 like me!

4-D Ultra Sound

This week has been sort of A milestone week for me with the pregnancy, Or I guess that is what you would call it. It was like I realized that there is actually a little tiny miracle/blessing of God growing inside of me. I was at work looking insides someones colon ( I know not a very sentimental time to be having this realization) When she started moving just like she always does but it was like it all finally connected. That's our little girl growing inside of me!! Then at the 4-Ultrasound we got to see her sweet little face, toes, nose, ears hands, and it is so amazing to think that she is a part of Zach and I. I mean I know that we became One as our own little family on the day we were married. But that sweet little face that we were looking at on the monitor is is like the answer after the equal sign when you had two together there is no way you can separate either of us from the equation of this little Blessing. I guess to me it is like we truly became One b/c this little blessing has both of our blood running through her, and I am so grateful that God has decided to trust us with his little Miracle. I just pray that we meet his approval as earthly parents.

29 Weeks

How Far Along: 29 Weeks

Sleep: This past week I just haven't been tired so I haven't been sleeping to well. On Friday morning I was off and had been looking forward to sleeping late in my warm bed since it had been so cold. And MaKenna Decided she wanted to have a party at 0530.
Baby Movement. All the time it is so great!! Mine and Zach's favorite thing to do at night is lay on the couch and watch my belly move all around. We try to guess what she is doing in there
Food Cravings: Nothing really
Memories of the Past week: My Sister's Wedding this weekend it was beautiful and so was she. And I am so excited b/c now I have a new brother-in-law and MaKenna will have to Big cousins to show her the ropes

Looking forward to: This Friday we are having the 4-D ultrasound we are super excited about that!! Can't wait to see her it has been like 2 months since our last ultrasound. Then on Saturday we are going to look at baby furniture. And register for baby things!! I know we probably should have already started on this but this Saturday is my Zach's first free weekend probably since we have been pregnant. The hospital made us feel like horrible parents when we told them at 23 weeks we didn't have a car seat yet!

Milestones: At 29 weeks MaKenna is about 17in. tall and weighs almost 3lbs Over the next 11 weeks she will more than double or possibly triple in weight

Wow am I really already in the Third Trimester

How Far Along: 28 Weeks
Weight Gain: According to the scale 13 lbs and  I weighed like 5 times on Friday b/c I didn't believe it. I have had a TREMENDOUS growth spurt Between last Sunday and Tuesday (I do mean a  day period). Every one who has seen me before Sunday and then after just looks at me with their mouth open, in disbelief. Trust me I don't believe it either and it happened so fast I didn't have time to compensate and get used to it! But All week I was extremely tired and nauseated (thought that was over in the first trimester) And had absolutely NO appetite probably due to my increased bell taking over my stomach area. B/c of the increased growth I do not see how I haven't gained any weight but will happily except that measurement as true for now.
Maternity Clothes. Defiantly.
Stretch marks: Not yet I am getting scared to look though
Belly button: still holding
Sleep: This week Sleep has been Great!!!
Baby Movement: All the time! I would love to just be able to see what she is doing in there. She love to take some appendage of hers and press it straight out to the right of my belly button and just leave it there.
Food Cravings: Nothing this week Until Friday when all I could think about was Mexican again So of course Chips and Salsa is what we had for supper
Milestones: This week Makenna should reach 2.5 lbs and be almost 16 in long. Her skill of the week is blinking.She also has REM sleep cycles now so she may dream I would love to know what that sweet little thing could possibly be dreaming about.
