20 Months

20 months.. I came to the realization last week that MaKenna is now 20 months that means I only have 4 months left to plan for her birthday. And with the Holidays you might as well knock out November and December so technically I only have 2 months to plan. I shared this realization with Zach and he told me I was ridiculous. It seems like MaKenna is learning new things every day. It is so fun to watch her play and figure things out. The other day she put her doll in the stroller and said "Be Back, minute" "Hang ON" "shopping" and took off pushing her doll in the stroller. I may or may have not told her to hang on while we were going shopping before.
She still loves playing out side and has become obsessed with the Wiggles. Her Daddy and I hope this phase passes quickly. She is constantly asking to watch the Wiggles DVD and if I don't immediately put it on she will bring me the remote and say "Wiggles, Change it" Some of her other favorite things are Minnie Mouse, Dora, and the Princesses.
Not sure if I have posted lately about her eating likes and dislikes, so here it goes.
She loves meat! Just about any kind including Shrimp. Although she refuses to eat ground beef. She will pick it out of the dish she is eating.
Bananas she likes in phases. Other than that she likes about any kind of fruit.
   Loves Broccoli and carrots.
Not a big fan of tomatoes or anything that has a tomato base. If pizza has a lot of tomato sauce she won't even eat it.
The main event for our family this month has been the Kitchen renovation. And if it ever gets finished I will post pictures. But MaKenna was very concerned about our cabinets when she came home one day and they were gone. And she would ask a least once a day about the cabinets until we got new ones in.

She has enjoyed playing Peek-a-boo in the empty Cabinets

Tennesse

We made our annual Tennessee trip this month. We decided to try our handle on driving at night so that MaKenna would be asleep for most of the ride. So as soon as church was over on Wednesday night we loaded the car and headed out. We arrived at our destination around 4:30 in the morning. But I will say driving at night was a success MaKenna slept for most of the way and traffic wasn't bad at all.
First on the agenda for the trip was to get MaKenna's picture with Santa. Well she didn't like him again.
I tried to force her to sit in his lap. I am a wonderful Mommy.

This is as close as she would get with a smile.

Dancing on the Table in Downtown Gatlinburg

We went to The Ripley's Aquarium which was amazing And MaKenna loved checking out all the fish.

On Saturday Morning Zach and I got up and went to Cade's Cove for a little bike ride. It was beautiful and we saw 2 bears and several deer and turkey's. Very neat to ride the bikes and I felt like I had earned my dessert for the day.

One of the Bears we saw.

Doesn't she look Studious. She stole Nana's glasses

Making Biscuits

And this is what Nana Taught her on the trip.

19 Months

Well another month has gotten past me before I knew it. Let's see where to begin. MaKenna is everywhere and into everything, Talking constantly, and repeating everything!! She now knows how to say her name instead of mine, things are now "Keeena's" and every once in a while it is "Ma...Keeena". We have expanded our alphabet from ABCD and she will sing alon with you and usually catches HIJK and TUV. Other new songs she will sing bits and pieces to; "Tinkle Tinkle Little Sta" "BINGO"  "Fuzzy Wuzzy"
We went for her 18 Month check up last month, she was in the 75th percentile for Height and weight so she may be tall like her Daddy. Although I was one of the tallest people in my class until about the 5th grade when I just quite growing.
I am beginning to wonder if we are starting our terrible twos early. She is getting really good at throwing a fit. One she didn't get something she wanted laid down in the floor and buried her head crying, I just walked out of the room but was peeping around the corner and I saw her look up to see if anyone was watching. When she realized she didn't have an audience she decided it wasn't worth it.
So here are a few pictures from the Month to go over what all we have been up to this past month.

Rocking her baby

She loves Books!!

And multitasking

Daddy Took command of his Company and made Pilot in Command this month we are so proud of him!! Although in this picture MaKenna is saying did we really have to get up this Early.

Wouldn't you love to know what they are talking about. This is trouble waiting to happen.

We went to her friend Reese's 2nd Birthday party. MaKenna wasn't to sure what to think about Brownie the pony

Zoo

Nana, Poppa, Bethany, Drew and Braden cam down on Sunday so that we could go to the Zoo. We had a blast.

The Parakeet cage is one of my favorites, and MaKenna loved it as well. The brids were everywhere I MaKenna almost stepped on a few.

            Cool breeze

Drew though that acting like a monkey would make the monkey play around. And it actually worked a little

Pooped

So excited to be riding the train

And what ends a trip to the zoo better than Ice Cream. Although they look like this is the cruelest thing we could do to them with these serious faces.

Labor Day Weekend

WE got up early Saturday morning and headed to Trade Day but didn't get 1/2 mile from our house before I spotted a yard sale that I needed to stop by. Which resulted in us turning around to go get the truck and going back to pick up the things, thanks to pinterest I have a few ideas for yard sale items.  Then we once again headed north.
We went by Nana and Poppa's first. Of course MaKenna had to ride the Gator and she wore her Gator boots. Anything John Deere is correlated with the Gator and Poppa.

Talking to Drew.

Playing with dirt and a few things the cows had left behind.

Playing Dolls with Maw Maw

When she sings Jesus loves me it goes like this, "Dis I know..... Strong!!!
