MaKenna and I Landed in Killeen, TX Around 5:30pm on Thursday. We were so excited to see Zach we couldn't get off the plane fast enough.. I wish that I could explain the weight that was lifted how much easier everything felt the moment he wrapped his arms around me. MaKenna was also very excited to see her daddy she was ready to show him How much she had grown, all of her new tricks, and tell him all her secrets.

| Zach and His Buick |
After we got the rental car, might I add never again will I book a rental car. He gave me such a hard time all weekend about our Buick, never again I tell you :) Then we headed to the Hotel in Austin. We stayed at the same chain of Hotels that we had on the first time for our Honeymoon, only this time we had to request a crib.
Thursday we went out to eat and then headed to Target for Diapers and wipes. Don't worry I didn't forget diapers I just ran out of room in my suitcase. It is tough business trying to pack for 3 people in one suitcase. I was fearful of exceeding my 50lb wait limit for checked baggage but passed with flying colors!! On the way back my bag weighed 48.5lbs I consider that talent now.
We also celebrated Father's day on Thursday MaKenna gave Zach the ultimate Father's Day present, a tie. I told her that Daddy would much rather have a tool or something but she said every Daddy needs a tie at least for one Father's Day. We also gave him an Aviation wings tie tack. And told him to buy a movie from itunes. (didn't want to bother with the gift card figured he might loose it on his big trip.)
After all the excitement of the day MaKenna quickly remembered how she likes to sleep with her Daddy here is a little flashback to compare how much she has grown.
On Friday morning we layed around the hotel room while MaKenna and Daddy had a little QT and she talked and talked. She has defiantly gotten some volume to her voice now. It's a miracle we didn't get complained about from our neighbors.
When we finally got out and about we went to find some grub and then headed to the Austin Zoo. Which was very neat. It is a rescue zoo which means they take in abandoned Animals that were pets, or worked with the circus or were used in laboratories and other things like that. So they had all different kinds of animals not like your ordinary zoo.

| I was amazed by these humongous turtles |
After we got back from the zoo we attempted to take MaKenna to the pool but she was exhausted and wasn't having it so we went back to the room for a nap.
After Naps we went to eat at Rudy's which is a chain BBQ restuarant in TX. Very neat!! You wait in line order and get your food and then they give you a sheet of waxed paper to lay out on the table and put your food on. No plates. The food was delicious. Then we attempted to go shopping but as we quickly learned everything shuts down pretty early in TX. So Shopping was a no-go.
Saturday morning we got up in time to eat breakfast, and went to IHOP no Cracker Barrels in the Austin area just in case you were
wondering. After that we hiked up Mount Bonnell which has a great view of the Austin river. But when I say Mount please don't think this is an actual mountain although they consider it to be. Around here it would be a hill. They may say everything is bigger in TX but I will say there Mountains aren't. Although I am glad it was a hill seeing as we had to carry MaKenna in her stroller up it so that she could get her beauty sleep.
Following the Mountain we went to the Texas military muesum and then on to Lake Travis to catch some rays. We attempted to get MaKenna in the water but it was freezing and with the winds blowing at 40mph it was difficult to keep your balance while walking on the hard rocks in the lake. So She hung out in the stroller while we sat on the shore beside her.
Well that is the first part of our trip hopefully tomorrow I can finishing feeling everyone in. But I am leaving you with this adorable face to get you through till then.
