39 Week Dr appt

Well we went back to the Dr yesterday. Still no exciting news. I was still just 3 cm dilated but I was 80% effaced. He couldn't believe that I hadn't had her yet. He told Zach that he had beI tter Keep himself on the ground and his cell phone on.  I did talk him into letting me wait one more week before we induce or anything. So Next Thursday if she isn't here we will go in at 4am. But Dr phillips said that I wouldn't last that long. I thought that is what you said 2 weeks ago. He did  give me a guesstimate on her size, He said about 6 1/2 to 7 lbs. So we shall see. But everybody please keep us in  your prayers. That she will get here safely, and stays turned that right way and I do not have to have a c-section

38 Week Dr. Appt

Well we went back to the Doctor yesterday, My Doctor is out of town on a cruise this week so I had to see one of his partners. I was soo hoping he would just send me over to the hospital when we were finished. This week I have been a little exhausted, The contractions have gotten stronger. I defiantly know when I am having one now still not overbearing though. (I am waiting on the screaming and hollering that is when I am guessing I am in labor) But I have been having a lot at night so I haven't gotten much sleep. So I was defiantly hoping for some progress at the Dr. but I was still just 3cm :(.
  But today I have felt much better I have my energy back, work didn't wear me down or anything. I am like was I really miserable earlier in the week or was it just a bad dream??  So I have excepted that she probably won't come until the first of March and that is what I am sticking to, just to be on the safe side.
  As I had mentioned I had to go to a different Dr. Well he wanted to talk about induction yesterday!!! I told him Dr Phillips and I had already discussed it and are in agreement. Dr. Waller said well I agree with you but with your small frame... I tuned out everything else after that and will just listen to what my Doctor says.

Could it be Nesting??

After we got the news on Thursday that MaKenna could be coming any minute now, I decided I had better get busy getting things ready for her. Not that I hadn't already been stressing enough or anything. We have just been so busy between work and traveling back and forth that there hasn't been anytime. So this weekend We were supposed to go back to Clay County for more festivities but after what Dr. Phillips said we decided not to chance the traveling. Now I know that the Labor will be a long process but I would rather it be at my own house rather than riding in a car down Hwy 9 for an hour and a half.
   So anyway this weekend was also Zach's first weekend off since I can't remember so being the wonderful husband he is went to work for me.  I got the house clean and he did a couple of honey do projects done in addition to cleaning the bathtubs for me ( I despise cleaning tubs!!) We also finished up the nursery and put all of MaKenna's things away. We went and bought groceries, b/c I wanted to be sure I had something to feed our guests if they were hungry. Also I haven't bought groceries since probably before Christmas!! Sad I know but I was the only one here and every free minute I had I worked on stuff getting ready for MaKenna..
   So now I have the house cleaned Nursery ready, groceries in the pantry and a few freezer meals prepared, So could I be nesting?? Maybe. The only thing I lacked was a pedicure. So on Tuesday I was off of work and thanks to my wonderful husband I went and got a pedicure and a massage. The man at the Nail place tried to make me leave he didn't won't me to go into labor while I was there. I was like look this is the last thing I like in preparing if I go into labor we will just breath through it until you get done. I am not placing these winter feet on stirrups for every one to see!!
    But now we just wait. and Try to figure out when I am in Real labor, Every one says I will know!! I am tired of hearing that, Everyone told me I hadn't been having braxton hicks b/c I WOULD Know when I had one. Well guess What I didn't!!

A Day Full of Doctors Appointments

The day started with my weekly OB appointment, Scheduled for 0830. I thought an early morning appointment would mean not much waiting. Boy was I wrong!! We went in the room at about 0830 and finally saw the Dr. at about 1030!! And for those of you who have been 9 months pregnant waiting that long sitting straight up on the Lovely OB bed with nothing to lean against (not to mention barely clothed) and in that time frame you know u will at least have to pee 2 or 3 time isn't comfortable. But we made it through.
    Enough complaining though. So we went into the room with the nurse did the usual check up stuff. As She was weighing me she ask me if I had been having contractions. I said not that I know of. Then we went back to the bed where she would measure my fundal height, I laid back and pulled up my shirt and boy did her eyes get big. She felt of my belly and said have you been feeling any  back. I said a little as we were walking in. She said well you were just
finishing up a contraction. Well that has been happening quite frequently this week. She quickly stressed when that starts happening every  5 min GO to Baptist East.
   She walked out I told Zach boy do I feel stupid, I don't even know when I am having a contraction. Which I realize when the big ones come I will know. I just assumed they were all like the "big ones" Because when people would ask me if I had had Braxton Hicks and I said not that I know of they would immediately say, oh you will know. Well obviously Not!
    Then the Dr came in. I was 3 cm dilated and from what Zach and I gathered from everything he said. He is expecting her to come within the next week. Ex. "If you are still pregnant next week you will see one of my partners in the office." " If you have her tomorrow I will be on call and be there for the delivery  but Saturday I will be out of town."
   After we left the OB I   drove to Alex City for the New Mom appt to interview the pediatrician.
So it was a full/busy day
 

37 Weeks

How Far Along: 37 weeks
Weight Gain: 19lbs

Stretch Marks: Still not yet. But I have been itching a lot!! I told Zach if I have went 9 months without getting them and I get them now I am going to be upset

Belly Button: outie

Sleep: Not much between getting up to go to the bathroom and thinking about everything I still have to do before she gets here

Baby Movement: She is a late night girl. She has a party every night from about 8 until I go to bed
Food Cravings: Nothing in particular I am just hungry most of the time

Looking forward to going back to the Dr this week and seeing how much closer We are to holding her. Last Monday (36 weeks) I was 1cm dilated and 50% effaced. But he said He still felt like she would be right on time maybe a few days early

Milestones" At 37 weeks if  MaKenna were born she would be considered full term . But she is steadily accumulating fat Most baby's weigh around 6 1/2 lbs

Last Monday All of the Furniture Finally came in! On Monday night Zach got the Crib and the dresser up. That was the only night I had him last week so we worked until Midnight. Here is a picture of the crib

Wednesday was Zach's Birthday and he had a check ride, which was supposed to be over around 5 or 6 and he would be able to come home and relax and eat his birthday supper since he would be leaving again on Thursday. But his wonderful curse of Murphy's Law played true again. Among many things happening they didn't take off until late. So he already wasn't going to be home until around 8 or 9. But then Something happened with the air craft and they had to make an emergency landing in someones pasture. So he spent his Birthday Night in the back of a State Trooper Car b/c some nice volunteer fireman called 911 when he saw them landing. So at least he didn't have to freeze waiting on someone to come and fix it. I told him he should be happy for that, if I had seen an aircraft landing in a pasture it would've scared me to death and I would have kept on driving. So therefore he did not get to Finish his check ride and will have to take it again this week. But he did get to open his present when he got home. But he didn't stay up long enough to eat fruit salad (his birthday cake)

  

   This past weekend I had 2 more showers. Bethany and Anna gave me a diaper shower and then on Sunday I had a shower at Mt Hebron

I had lots of help opening presents. Which was Fabulous

One of the Ladies who will be keeping MaKenna in the Nursery She will have her own bed at church and everything. By the way They call these ladies the Rockers so I have a feeling she will be very spoiled. Which is alright by me
