10 Months

Wow, 10 Months!! I better get busy planning/preparing for a birthday party. I mentioned the fact this fact the other day to which Zach replied, "Baby you don't have to start planning my Birthday party a month in advance." We all know how the rest of that conversation went.
So MaKenna, At 10 months you are very very mobile!! You have finally mastered the art of crawling on your hands and knees as opposed to "army crawling." And you are into everything!! Your daddy and I were cleaning the kitchen the other night and you were right under our feet crawling around. And we discussed how just yesterday you were so tiny and immobile it was unbelievable how fast this has happened. Side note.. Oh how I have missed Your dad and I's nightly routine of cleaning up the kitchen together!!
2 Weeks ago we went to the Dr and you weighed 18lbs and were 28ins long. Dr Tyler said that you are growing perfectly.
You have tried a lot of new foods and there isn't much that you don't like. Instant potatoes were a no go for you. Your momma has spoiled you with the real thing. We tried Field peas again this time off the table (with seasoning) You also have had pork chops (pureed of course) Mac and cheese b/c that is a staple in this family, although you haven't had the box mac yet mommy only cooks the real stuff of that b/c she has spoiled Daddy.
You still play very well by yourself with you toys. You move from one section to the next playing with different toys.
Also another thing I hope I don't forget you have tons of funny faces I hope that I capture all of them in pictures eventually. And you love to put on a show if somebody is watching.
When we say no you look at us and shake you head no, grin and go right back to doing whatever it was that we were telling you not to do. I have a feeling this might be a sign of things to come.
Mommy and Daddy love you so much, We cannot believe that you are already 10 months old.

We are always on the move now!!

Homecoming and Christmas

Okay so where do I start on this little catch up post??
Our Family is Finally back together and Complete again!!!
The Hubby made it home for MaKenna's first Christmas, we were so blessed to have him come home early. This homecoming is my excuse for not blogging. There was a lot of getting ready for him to come home, Waiting on him to get here and then of course after he was here blogging wasn't high priority.
The big question was would MaKenna know who Zach was or would she be afraid of him? I am happy to report after a lot of pictures, skype, recorded books, and the Bunny with Zach's voice, she knew who her Daddy was. It has been googly eyes ever since he got off the plane. Mama her is old news it is Daddy everything!. Although there is still a little confusion We think she still expects her Daddy to be on the Computer. The other night I open up the computer and she Sat up straight with and excited smile and said DaDa. (Something we will have to work on :)
THe day after he got home we headed out looking for a Christmas tree. Due to time we settled for going to a pre cut Christmas tree Farm, it was an easy decision and I believe that we picked out a Beautiful Christmas tree.

Waiting on Daddy to get off the Plane

The next day we had our Welcome home party!!

And then the Christmas Festivities began. MaKenna had a very eventful and exhausting First Christmas. It took her several days to recover (a lot of fussiness and sleeping), and then Mom and Dad needed a few days to recover from her recovery. Christmas Eve the Festivities began at lunch and continued until after 9 pm when we headed back home. We arrived at out house around 10:30 and MaKenna was out!! We attempted to wake her up so she could open her Christmas PJs (a tradition from my family) The poor thing was sitting straight up and fell over asleep with her eyes wide open it was pitiful. Then after that we disturbed her again so that we could read The Night Before Christmas and "The Christmas Story" From the book of Luke (a tradition from Zach's family) Then finally we allowed her to go to bed so that Santa could come.

She is so animated and makes all kinds of Crazy Faces to be funny.
