Memorial Day

Memorial Day weekend was busy for us as is about every weekend Since most involve going out of town. We Started the weekend off on Friday by heading to the Final Graduation at Lineville High School.  To watch Jacob Graduate. Zach and I once again received our parent of the year award when we let our child fall off the bleachers head first. No blood was seen but when she slept until 9:00am the next morning I was fearful there was a concussion. After the Graduation on Friday we drove back to our house b/c my husband was determined that we were going to finally spend a Saturday at our house. And it was wonderful!!
We all slept until 9 which we were a little upset about b/c we felt like we had slept the day away. Zach smoked some meat for supper MaKenna and I played in her pool and then after supper we did a little shopping. Because what Saturday is complete with out a little shopping. It was a wonderful Saturday and great to finally spend one like most families do.

Enjoying some of Daddy's Cooking

After church on Sunday we headed back to CC for the rest of the Memorial day Festivities. We hung out at the lake on Sunday Afternoon And MaKenna Drank most of the lake water. Which might I add grossed this Momma out a little. I kept on thinking Braden and Andrew are probably peeing in this water right now and my child is drinking it!! But I told myself I survived growing up inhaling and drinking lake water, so hopefully she will too.

Hanging with Aunt Bethany

Monday we hung out at Grandpa and Maw Maw's where she continued to love the water, but spent most of her morning going up and down steps.

14 Months

No I have not fallen of the face of the blog world, and yes I know that I am a horrible mother for not accurately documenting my child's life.
  During my Blog absentee...
Spent her first night away from Momma, In case you are wondering I survived.

Daddy's Deployment was officially over in February when he brought the Helicopters home.

Taking a Nap
                 She had a great easter
I was pleased with how her dressed turned out, since I didn't start on it until Wednesday

Now she is 14 Months old She weighs 21 lbs and 3 ozs and is 29 1/4 in.
Her Favorite word is Outside, she loves to be Outside. She wakes up in the morning saying "Outside" and reaching for the door. She love to tell Ellie (the Dog) "get". She also calls the dog by either patting her leg or belly. The other day she wanted to go outside when it was raining, she went to the door stood up and reached for the door knob and looked at me and started patting her leg. She can also say Ball bath and tell you what a cow and a lion say. She loves the phone and any time one rings she puts her hand to her ear.
April 20 she stood up from a seated position with out holding on to anything. She is still not walking but cruises around holdning on to everything. Not really rushing the walking b/c I know I will be on the go constantly. Once that starts. She discover her belly button that same weekend and is amazed by hers and mine.
During the blessing she say "men" for amen.  Oh and she says bath too. Sings the "B, I B I" of BIBLE song, "Row Row Row" and has the cutest little mouth expression when she does, E I EI O. and also sings her own version of the ABC's .
We love Mickey Mouse and can spot "Mic" anything from a mile a way.

She climbs on everything!! And Has no Fear.

So proud of Herself

Having Fun at the Park

                                                          Hanging Out at the Lake

She sneaks back to her room to Read Books

I think that is most of the cute things she has learned to do since I have posted last. My goal is to do better.

10 Months

Wow, 10 Months!! I better get busy planning/preparing for a birthday party. I mentioned the fact this fact the other day to which Zach replied, "Baby you don't have to start planning my Birthday party a month in advance." We all know how the rest of that conversation went.
So MaKenna, At 10 months you are very very mobile!! You have finally mastered the art of crawling on your hands and knees as opposed to "army crawling." And you are into everything!! Your daddy and I were cleaning the kitchen the other night and you were right under our feet crawling around. And we discussed how just yesterday you were so tiny and immobile it was unbelievable how fast this has happened. Side note.. Oh how I have missed Your dad and I's nightly routine of cleaning up the kitchen together!!
2 Weeks ago we went to the Dr and you weighed 18lbs and were 28ins long. Dr Tyler said that you are growing perfectly.
You have tried a lot of new foods and there isn't much that you don't like. Instant potatoes were a no go for you. Your momma has spoiled you with the real thing. We tried Field peas again this time off the table (with seasoning) You also have had pork chops (pureed of course) Mac and cheese b/c that is a staple in this family, although you haven't had the box mac yet mommy only cooks the real stuff of that b/c she has spoiled Daddy.
You still play very well by yourself with you toys. You move from one section to the next playing with different toys.
Also another thing I hope I don't forget you have tons of funny faces I hope that I capture all of them in pictures eventually. And you love to put on a show if somebody is watching.
When we say no you look at us and shake you head no, grin and go right back to doing whatever it was that we were telling you not to do. I have a feeling this might be a sign of things to come.
Mommy and Daddy love you so much, We cannot believe that you are already 10 months old.

We are always on the move now!!

Homecoming and Christmas

Okay so where do I start on this little catch up post??
Our Family is Finally back together and Complete again!!!
The Hubby made it home for MaKenna's first Christmas, we were so blessed to have him come home early. This homecoming is my excuse for not blogging. There was a lot of getting ready for him to come home, Waiting on him to get here and then of course after he was here blogging wasn't high priority.
The big question was would MaKenna know who Zach was or would she be afraid of him? I am happy to report after a lot of pictures, skype, recorded books, and the Bunny with Zach's voice, she knew who her Daddy was. It has been googly eyes ever since he got off the plane. Mama her is old news it is Daddy everything!. Although there is still a little confusion We think she still expects her Daddy to be on the Computer. The other night I open up the computer and she Sat up straight with and excited smile and said DaDa. (Something we will have to work on :)
THe day after he got home we headed out looking for a Christmas tree. Due to time we settled for going to a pre cut Christmas tree Farm, it was an easy decision and I believe that we picked out a Beautiful Christmas tree.

Waiting on Daddy to get off the Plane

The next day we had our Welcome home party!!

And then the Christmas Festivities began. MaKenna had a very eventful and exhausting First Christmas. It took her several days to recover (a lot of fussiness and sleeping), and then Mom and Dad needed a few days to recover from her recovery. Christmas Eve the Festivities began at lunch and continued until after 9 pm when we headed back home. We arrived at out house around 10:30 and MaKenna was out!! We attempted to wake her up so she could open her Christmas PJs (a tradition from my family) The poor thing was sitting straight up and fell over asleep with her eyes wide open it was pitiful. Then after that we disturbed her again so that we could read The Night Before Christmas and "The Christmas Story" From the book of Luke (a tradition from Zach's family) Then finally we allowed her to go to bed so that Santa could come.

She is so animated and makes all kinds of Crazy Faces to be funny.

Christmas Morning
We had a wonderful Christmas, MaKenna and I couldn't have asked for a better Christmas present than having Zach back home safe with us.
